09/02/20Revisions to 2 CFR (Uniform Guidance)- The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) published a final revised 2 C.F.R on August 13, 2020 in the Federal Register. While limited in scope, these revisions reflect the foundational shift outlined in the President's Management Agenda (PMA) to set the stage for enhanced result-oriented accountability for grants. The purpose of these revisions, in addition to aligning with the PMA is to also meet statutory requirements, ensure consistency with other authoritative source requirements, and clarification of existing requirements in 2 C.FR. OMB in collaboration with representatives from the grantmaking Federal agencies and in response to public comments revised 2 C.F.R. parts 25, 170, and 200. 05/01/20Important CARES Act Guidance- Please be aware that if funds are awarded to your institution under the CFDAs of 84.425E or 84.425F, for 18004 (a)(1) of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, the following situations will occur with the obligation in the G5 grants system: When funds are obligated by the U.S. Department of Education program office, the individuals listed under 'Certifying Official' and 'Project Director' on the HEERF grant application will receive an email alert that a Grant Award Notification (GAN) is available for them to view in G5. more »
04/02/20Payee Access Forms during COVID-19 quarantine- Due to social distancing rules in effect for COVID 19, G5 users requesting the Payee role may temporarily substitute a school/organizational stamp or attach a letter on letterhead to the Payee Access Form, in lieu of notarization. Payee Access Forms and banking forms (SF1199A) are still being processed by the Department, but on a less frequent basis. Please plan for delays in obtaining Payee access.
