Annette Obrestad Wins Without Looking At Cards
Back in 2007 Annette Obrestad managed to win a tournament at PokerStars without ever looking at her hole cards. The poker pro has now stated she is going to try the feat again in the upcoming Bluff Europe Poker Academy which will take place in London at the Victory Casino in May.
- This 2 part video shows how Annette Obrestad won a 180 person Sit&Go by playing position and the player and NEVER looking at her 2 hole cards. You will see her folding KK and great hands because SHE NEVER LOOKS AT THEM. Its an amazing accomplishment in poker. She played completely blind.
- In July 2007, Obrestad won a $4 buy-in 180 person online sit-and-go where she claims to have played almost the entire tournament without looking at her cards. She has said she peeked at her cards once during the tournament, when she was faced with an all-in bet.

A couple of weeks ago, as I was searching for interesting videos about Las Vegas on YouTube, I came upon this girl named Annette that had a channel which made videos about Las Vegas casinos and hotels. The channel is titled “Las Vegas with Annette“.
Annette only has about 7,000 subscribers with her 12 videos but I just kind of enjoyed watching her presentation. And I liked her because in one of these videos she shows herself without any make up on. This lack of vanity appeals to me.
She also has another channel called, “Annette’s Makeup Corner” which has about 33,000 subscribers.
I had no idea that this girl that goes by the name of Annette was Annette Obrestad. But the fact that she had mentioned in one of her videos that she had played poker for a living piqued my curiosity. Then I saw the following video that she made a few days later where she talked about her life:

Then, she posted the following video on her makeup channel a few days later.

(I know it looks a little awkward to place these two videos back to back. She’s pretty happy nowadays and in the first video she was doing some reflecting on her life. The second video lets you see what a good poker face she has.)
So I started to look at some of her poker sessions on YouTube playing against the elite players of the world. I’ve seen some of these before because I have viewed hundreds of hours of poker on YouTube. She is an aggressive player and she is fearless. She also looks very confident when she plays.
But she has given up poker. She is now 31 years old, married, and lives in Las Vegas.

Thanks for sharing! I was wondering what she'd been up to lately. I was a fan of hers around the time that she won the WSOPE. I'm roughly her age, so to see a 19-year-old win at that time was very cool.
